Have the lawn of your dreams, and get sod installed the correct way. Anyone can order sod and throw it down on your lawn. At Banfield's, we do things the right way. We kill off the existing turf and weeds, once given the proper amount of time- we remove the debris, grade and level the work area, and properly install new sod.
We researched and visited multiple sod growers in the area and only use sod we know is properly grown, fertilized, watered, and cut.
We only use turfs that we are confident that do well in our local area to make your lawn as easy for you as possible. Give us a call and set up an appointment to have one of our Turf Specialists meet you on your lawn!

St. Augustine

Has varying degrees of dark green color, thick density, and broad leaf blades.  This turf is drought resistant with some shade tolerances.  While this turf is ideal for most residential installs, it can be prone to chinch bugs & diseases.  Thatch build up can also detract from the health but proper maintenance of any negative factors can be controlled fairly well providing the owner with a beautiful crisp lush lawn.

Zoysia

This turf blade is fine with varying degrees of light to dark green color & thick density.  The texture of this turf is shorter than other turf grass at 1"-2" & is very slow growing.  As with St. Augustine, this turf is also prone to thatch build up that can be resolved with proper aeration.  This turf is fairly drought and shade resistant but can be prone to disease without proper maintenance & care.

Centipede-OG.jpg

Centipede

This turf is medium to dark green in color but with a fine blade.  Centipede turf has a moderately course to soft feel.  This turf has outstanding heat tolerance & can be watered heavily but not often.  It is best suited to well drained soils.  It can be sparse in density & not as plush as other turfs.  This turf is least tolerant of shade.
